Heart Center of the Rockies' cardiac rehabilitation is a four-part program intended to help you learn about healthy heart maintenance and return to the work, recreation and hobbies you enjoy.

Our programs are tailored to fit individual needs, combining supervised aerobic exercise with education about nutrition, stress management and other aspects of heart disease. You can begin rehabilitation during your hospital stay with phase one and can continue after discharge with phases two through four of the program.

Note: All phases of our program are offered at our Loveland and Fort Collins locations. Only phase four is currently offered at our Windsor location.

Our four-phase program includes: 

• Phase one: cardiac rehabilitation while you are in the hospital.
• Phase two: cardiac rehabilitation after your hospitalization.
• Phase three: cardiac rehabilitation.

• Phase four: higher intensity cardiac rehabilitation 

Congestive heart failure rehabilitation

Medical research shows that low-intensity exercise helps people with heart failure improve their strength, stamina and quality of life. Through early management, the progression of heart failure can be slowed and hospital re-admittance can be greatly reduced. Congestive heart failure rehabilitation is conducted in one-hour sessions, three times a week, and is designed to help you reach your potential for independence through:

• A medically supervised exercise program.
• Medication management.
• Dietary instruction.
• Fluid management.
• Telemetry to monitor heart rhythm one time per month.
• A congestive heart failure support group.  

Other specialty classes available

• Conditioning.
• Strength training.
• Fit ball class.
• Yoga.
• Preventative heart disease. 

The Attack Pack 

This group of enthusiastic cardiac rehabilitation graduates is a familiar sight at local races and around northern Colorado. They meet monthly for exercise and camaraderie and welcome people of all ages, interests and exercise abilities.
