Breast Health

Breast health concerns

Finding a breast lump can be alarming, but please remember it doesn't necessarily mean you have breast cancer.

A lump can result from one of many benign (non-cancerous) conditions. Still, the possibility does exist that the lump could be cancerous. It is important that you see your doctor promptly for an evaluation.

Breast changes to watch for:

  • Abnormal lump or thickening in or near breast or underarm
  • Change in size or shape of breast
  • Abnormal nipple discharge
  • Change in color or texture of breast, aureola or nipple
  • Skin irritation, dimpling or puckering of breast
  • Focal pain (distinct pain in an area of your breast)
  • Nipple turning inward

You may always contact us with concerns or to discuss whether you should schedule an appointment.
