First of all, you gotta know this fun sack lunch menu doesn't have anything to do with Mexican or South-of-the-Border food ... except for the connection of the Incas with the main ingredient, peanut butter. You'll learn more about that at the end of the menu.
Start off by spreading peanut butter (or almond butter) on whole-wheat bread. Wrap up the sandwich.
Then add the following to the sack lunch:
- Apple, whole or sliced apples (Tip: dip or wash the apple slices in lemon juice and that will help keep them from becoming discolored. Wrap the slices in a paper towel.).
- Celery sticks.
- A small box of raisins.
- Graham cracker.
- Jello pudding pack. Tr to use the low- or no-fat Jello.
Okay, okay, here's the Inca connection. Did you know peanut butter was first used by the Incas as early as 950 B.C.--that was far more than 2,000 years go.
