Tasty spanakopita triangles

Don't you just love that word "spanakopita"? This can be a learning lesson in words for you kid.

The simple short-version: A spinach pie that is a Greek savory pastry. Here's what the word looks like in modern Greek: σπανακ?πιτα.

Regardless of the definition, these triangles are vegetarian and happy finger food to fill sack lunches.

You can buy frozen spanakopita in most grocery stories. Bake them the night before to pack you your child's sack lunch with some fruit and low-fat milk.

An important point to consider when you buy spanakopita: Read the label to make sur the brand has plenty of vitamns A and C, as well as iron and calcium.
