Loveland Urgent Care moves upstairs, changes name 

Loveland Urgent Care is caring for patients from a new office on the second floor of its building in north Loveland starting today.

The urgent care clinic, which has been renamed Colorado Health Medical Group Urgent Care, is located at 3850 N. Grant Ave., northwest of 37th Street and U.S. 287 (Garfield Avenue).

The urgent care is a part of Colorado Health Medical Group, formerly Poudre Valley Medical Group. It offers urgent care services for adults and children in need of care for minor injuries or illnesses.

In general, an urgent care center is where people can go for medical help when they need to see a doctor soon but can’t get an appointment with their own physician right away. Some of the most common ailments that bring patients to CHMG Urgent Care are colds, flu, sore throat, minor cuts, sprains, strains, headaches and stomach aches.

CHMG Urgent Care is open seven days a week and offers extended hours for those minor medical emergencies that don’t flare up during regular office hours. X-ray services also are available on-site.

The name change at the clinic is part of an effort to better identify and establish the relationship between CHMG clinics in northern Colorado and their connection to the University of Colorado Health system.

Loveland Family Practice, a primary care clinic that includes the services of Dr. Kevin Felix and physician assistant Victor Palomares, is also located on the second floor of the building at 3850 N. Grant Ave. It will be renamed CHMG Primary Care.
