Because preventive screenings are an important part of living a healthy lifestyle, Poudre Valley Health System is offering a quick and convenient way for Loveland residents to get some of those screenings done.
PVHS will host a health fair from 8-10 a.m. Oct. 19 at Poudre Valley Medical Group Primary Care at 1327 Eagle Drive, which is south of King Soopers and west of Starbucks in the Thompson Valley Towne Center.
The health fair will offer the following blood tests at low-cost health fair rates:
Health fair blood panel - includes complete blood count, albumin, alk phos, SGOT, SGPT, total Bilirubin, direct bilirubin, total protein, calcium, CO2, chloride, creatinine, glucose, sodium, potassium, BUN, uric acid, globulin, phosphorous, LDH, IRON and lipid profile. (fasting required) ... $29.
Lipid profile - includes triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, LDL and cardiac risk (fasting required) ... $22.
Prostate specific antigen (no fasting) ... $29.
Thyroid stimulating hormone (no fasting) ... $29.
Glucose (fasting required) ... $7.
Blood type ... $19.50.
A1c ... $20.
Fasting is required for some tests. In those cases, participants should not eat food or drink beverages for 12 to 14 hours before the test.
