PVH and MCR support the March of Dimes March for Babies
Our March for Babies playlist features videos from the March of Dimes as well as local families, nurses and physicians explaining why the work the March of Dimes does is so important for the health of all moms and babies.
Since 2007, Poudre Valley Hospital has supported the March of Dimes March for Babies. In recent years, passionate team members from MCR have joined the March for Babies as well.
Each year we walk for many reasons.
We walk to celebrate healthy babies.
We walk for the babies that were born too soon or too sick but have graduated from our neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery and were able to go home.
We walk to remember those courageous babies who lost their fight and weren't able to go home.
We walk united to end premature birth so that some day, all babies can be born healthy.

The March of Dimes has helped so many people with research and educational campaigns resulting in:
A 21% decrease in brain and spinal cord birth defects due to their campaign to have all expectant mothers consume at least 400 micrograms of folic acid a day.
The creation of artificial surfactant, a life-saving substance for premature babies.
SIDS prevention thanks to their "Back to Sleep" campaign.
The creation of the newborn screen test that identifies sickle cell anemia, allowing for immediate and effective treatment.
The creation of the polio vaccine.
The PKU test given to every baby birth and the ultrasound.
And much more.
