While the majority of cancer patients receive treatment on an outpatient basis, in some cases a patient must be admitted to the hospital for cancer care. This may be due to a change in a cancer patient's health status, a need for a type of specialized treatment, or for any number of circumstances that your doctor would advise you on.
People with cancer can receive medical care and support in our oncology unit with 14 private rooms at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Located on the 3rd floor, the unit is staffed by a team of oncology nurses specially trained in cancer care. Your medical oncologist, and additional doctors and allied health professionals with expertise in cancer needs, oversee inpatient cancer treatment.
Whether inpatient cancer care is necessary for just a few days or for a longer time, Poudre Valley Cancer Network is committed to providing patients with the best care available during their stay.
