Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed cross-sectional images of your body. It is a non-invasive procedure that allows radiologists to diagnose a variety of conditions without using X-rays or other radiation. Signals are interpreted by a computer to create a two-dimensional picture of your body.
MRI scans may be recommended to evaluate:
• Brain and spine • Musculoskeletal • Abdomen and pelvis • Blood vessels (MR Angiography)
