Nutrition services at Poudre Valley Health System
Our knowledgeable staff of registered dietitians offers nutrition screening, individual nutrition consultations, education, and specialized nutrition support for inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
Outpatient nutrition services at Poudre Valley Hospital are located in the same location as diabetes services in PVH's lower level, and can be contacted at 970.495.8205. Our dietitians are also certified diabetes educators.
Our registered dietitians can help you with information about proper nutrition for pregnancy, heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, weight management, bariatric surgery, eating disorders, chronic wound healing, food intolerance, food allergies, gastrointestinal conditions and more.
Make an appointment
A referral from your physician is required for an appointment. Once you've got that, call Nutrition Education at 970.495.8205 to make an appointment. We can meet with you weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Appointments may be made as early as 8 a.m. or as late as 3 p.m.
We meet with patients individually or as a family. At your first appointment, we will review your eating habits and overall health. We will work with you to make positive, realistic changes to help you reach your health goals.
Follow up appointments are scheduled as needed.
Insurance coverage
Check with your insurance company or benefits office to see if your insurance will pay for the appointments. We can bill your insurance company for you; you are responsible for any amounts your insurance company does not pay.
