Purpose: To support the PVHS objective of being a customer-focused organization by creating clinical excellence through a focus on developing solutions to any nursing practice and quality issues that may arise. Uses evidence-based standards from the nursing community.
Evidence-Based Practice

Clinical Education

Purpose: To coordinate clinical education throughout Medical Center of the Rockies that supports innovative, high-quality, comprehensive care. In addition, the committee collaborates with Poudre Valley Hospital to meet the educational goals of Poudre Valley Health System.

Purpose: To provide a forum to support leadership development for clinical care coordinators and supervisors through education, activities, and the sharing of information.

Purpose: To identify and recommend potential mentoring, recognition, and reward activities that will support PVHS' goal of attracting, retaining, and empowering staff.
Patient- and Family-Centered Care

Purpose: To develop and implement patient- and family-centered care, in support of the PVHS goal of being a customer-focused organization.
Patient and Family Advisory Council

Purpose: To evaluate and recommend methods and materials that effectively provide Client and Family Education in a way that supports the PVHS goals of being a customer-focused organization that meets the needs of a growing and changing marketplace.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Chair: Tracey Anderson
Vice chair: Melanie Roberts
Purpose: To promote the advanced practice role by serving as resources and change agents to positively impact quality of care by using: evidence-based practice, education, consultation, research, quality improvement process, and/or collegial interdisciplinary relationships.
Nurse Practice Council
Chair: Kay Miller, MCR chief nursing officer
Purpose: Lead, coordinate, and communicate the nursing activities of Medical Center of the Rockies.
