Cardiac rehabilitation is a four-part program intended to help you learn about healthy heart maintenance and return to the work, recreation and hobbies you enjoy.
Our programs are tailored to fit individual needs, combining supervised aerobic exercise with education about nutrition, stress management and other aspects of heart disease. You can begin rehabilitation during your hospital stay with phase one and can continue after discharge with phases two through four of the program.

Congestive heart failure rehabilitation
Medical research shows that low-intensity exercise helps people with heart failure improve their strength, stamina and quality of life. Through early management, the progression of heart failure can be slowed and hospital re-admittance can be greatly reduced. Congestive heart failure rehabilitation is conducted in one-hour sessions, three times a week, and is designed to help you reach your potential for independence through:
- A medically supervised exercise program.
- Medication management.
- Dietary instruction.
- Fluid management.
- Telemetry to monitor heart rhythm one time per month.
- A congestive heart failure support group.
Other specialty classes available
- Strength training.
- Fit ball class.
- Preventative heart disease.
