A-STEP: Essentials of sleep technology

The A-STEP curriculum was developed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as a comprehensive introduction to sleep technology for the novice technologist. The course is also great for allied healthcare professionals who are new to sleep medicine or those who may benefit from a formalized course of study in the field.
The Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine offers the first 24 hours of the course as interactive online lessons. The A-STEP student can study at their own pace in the comfort of their home or office during the month before their 56 hour LIVE course begins. The live course will be held at Poudre Valley Hospital Sleep Disorders Center.

- The interactional 10-20 system of EEG electrode placement

- Patient set-up practice
- Scoring practice
Credits: 57.5 contact hours. Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credits approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care.
